Ivyridge Honey Farm
We're proud to offer locally produced honey from Ivyridge Honey Farm, owned and operated by Bryan Cooper.
Bryan has been raising honey bees for over 50 years, bringing decades of experience, knowledge, and respect for these remarkable pollinators. Many of his hives are located at Portico Gardens, with additional apiaries throughout the county, allowing his bees to forage from a rich diversity of local wildflowers and blossoms.
Bryan is committed to keeping his bees as naturally as possible. His honey is never pasteurized, preserving its natural enzymes, antioxidants, pollen, and beneficial compounds that are often reduced by excessive heat. The result is pure, raw local honey with exceptional flavour and all the goodness nature intended.
Many people enjoy local raw honey because it contains small amounts of local pollen, and some believe that regular consumption may help support the body's natural response to seasonal pollen. While research is still ongoing, raw honey is widely appreciated for its antioxidants, natural enzymes, and soothing properties. It has also been used traditionally to help soothe sore throats, calm coughs, provide natural energy, and support overall wellness.
Whether you're sweetening your morning tea, drizzling it over yogurt, baking with it, or enjoying it by the spoonful, Ivyridge Honey Farm honey is a delicious taste of our local countryside.
